Newbie needs knowledge

I am computer literate but tablet and Android "illiterate".
Bought a WalMart "special" for $49.00 to learn on.
Can anyone recommend a paper book on the subject of the Android OS
and tablets in general?

The latest paper guide to Android is probably from 3 or 4 versions ago. Go to https://www.google.com/search?q=amd...s=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a and read some of the later guides (go by the version number - Jelly Bean, the most common current one, is 4.3. Kit Kat, recently released, is 4.4.
