Ok obviously I am a newbie. I have been reading a bunch of posts about slow/lag. My question is about apps. If I download an app but leave it in the drawer is it not launched? If it is on a home screen is it running? Thanks in advance.:)

    This and that.
    Here
Are all the program shortcuts on your computers desktop running, or do they only run when you open them? It's kind of the same thing, some essential programs will obviously need to run in the background but most of the programs you've installed won't run until you open them.

What I am asking is it beneficial to leave programs in the drawer vs having them on a home screen? I realize there are programs that need to run, but its the extras that I have added to the home screens for convience that I wonder about.

No difference if they are in the app tray or on the home screen
