4 days now, just changed from a blackberry bold 9000 to a Samsung galaxy s2, what a phone and love the android op sys.
looking forward to using it and using the site.
no 1 priory is to max the battery life and finding a decent thin cover to protect it.
have already put task manager on primary desktop to minimize open programmes not required to be open.
Google apps works great, all email and contacts transferred fine, calander is also synced well.

Welcome to Android Forums!

First thing to do is read that article on why the only thing task killers kill is your battery, then delete it from your phone. I'ts not necessary.

All new phones report short battery cycles at first. You have to teach Android what a full charge represents. The best way to do that is to let the battery run all the way out, until the phone shuts off. Then plug it into the A/C charger (not the USB cable) and charge to full. When it says full unplug the phone and reboot it. Then plug the phone back into the charger, turn it off and let it charge for at least another hour, even if the phone says full.

You get better battery life a lot faster that way. be advised though that you should not let your battery run out frequently. It could damage the battery and shorten its life.
