Help Newupdate crashed phone

Well I was listening to music today and out of nowhere I get a message about an update.So I go ahead with it and says to plug in if needed etc.I plug the phone to the usb charger,let it do its thing,it reboots and starts loading.So then it finally gets to the unlock screen and I notice it looks fishy kind of like when you put the lcd density to high.I manage to get in and the tw launcher keeps crashing and wont load anymore.

I was rooted btw.

Was hoping someone had the update.zip for 2.2.1 before this update so I can see If I can manually update to before it updated.I did a hard reset to no avail any help appreciated. Thanks

Yes it did say plug in phone if needed but I didn't want to take a chance being I only had seconds left of countdown to the start of download .

Download was only about a few minutes and maybe not even that much.

Try taking out the battery and replacing it and see if that helps.

I took out the sim card,the battery,even left the battery out for an hour just incase something was holding a charge.Factory reset from the recovery menu.Nothing seems to be helping.I am pretty sure the update was corrupted somehow maybe the dam 4g/cdma dropped while it was downloading..............maybe i plugged it in and wasnt supposed to?

my phone updated without 4g even enabled. you dont need it to be on 4g to get the update. I was also rooted so your problem doesnt seem to be there either.

My phone "failed" the update.

Upon checking I can see that part of it did get applied. My radio firmwares have been updated but my build number is still the old version. Here is a screenshot

Oh oh... If I were you, I'd try to force the update again with ##DATA# and see if it does better...

I tried that. It never initiates the download again.

I DID have dm logging enabled before this update ran so if someone can help me find the logs Ill post them here
