hi i havent posted in a while but thought a few could use this 
this is how to root the nextbook ares 8 on windows. android 5.0 only!!!
1: download the attached files
2: extract the files and install the usb drivers
3: put SuperSU246.zip on root of ur sdcard
4: enable developer mode[google if u dont know how]
5: click cmd-here.exe and type "adb reboot bootloader" and press enter
6: type "fastboot flash twrp_recovery.img" to install twrp recovery
7: reboot the device once booted type "adb reboot recovery"
8: once in recovery install the SuperSU246.zip then reboot the device
9: u now have a rooted ares 8 tablet
