So, talkandroid.com is saying LG won't make anymore nexus 4s as they want to concentrate on other models. No point in me waiting for stock now then.

Phandroid isn't even reporting this "rumor." Probably because they got blasted the last time they reported a phony story as fact.

"Oh hi Google it's LG here, listen, we just don't fancy manufacturing any more of those units that we are contracted to produce. OK? Thanks, Bye."

Lol....Believe half of what you see, and none of what you hear!

This phone is an absolute success, to be frank any nexus phone from here on out will be a success. It all really depends on how far Google wants to take this unlocked phone thing.

LG is contracted with Google to produce the phone, so I highly highly doubt that this phone isn't being produced this very second. If anything Google breathed life back into LG as an Android phone supplier because of the success the nexus 4 has been.

I don't thinkg Google just calls LG to order a few more Nexus when they need them. There must be a contract for a huge amount and LG just has not been able to fulfill the production demand.

I have one so I know this shouldn't bother me but it does.

This phone has the ability to shift the paradigm on the United States telecom industry in my opinion but if LG blows this I don't see myself buying anymore of their products.

Innocent until proven guilty but if thing is true I will jump ship to someone who I know has plenty of experience with this kind of thing. Sony.

I read that on another site. If its true then they need to release a 32 gig at the price if $350 off contract.

I hope this isn't true because like dude above said I like that it changes the industry. American carriers need this kick in the balls.

They tend to charge like $200 for a phone and still rob you $70 per month.

And I've heard some don't give a discount when you buy the phone yourself.

I was happy to get one free at contract price from O2 UK. Either that or not get one at all since I couldn't get through on the first day.

I believe what was meant is that American carriers are rather smug in the exorbitant fees that are being charged via "contract" service, and the challenge of lower-priced pre-pay-as-you-go competition will be good for the consumer.

I've got the T-Mobile $70 unlimited everything plan with no contract...pretty happy.

They tend to demand exclusivity on a lot of phones, plus they throw their weight around as far as design goes. Most have blocked Google Wallet and take ridiculous amounts of time to update their devices. They also charge ridiculous amounts of money for their plans if they're post-paid.

I think we will see what the FTC has to say about their plans to block Google wallet.

    Just a thought
Assuming lg has said to Google "no more"

Google will naturally be pretty pissed and no doubt get heavy with them

Could this lead to lg leaving the platform and onto windows

Is the the first cracks in the open handset alliance

It's none of those things, as this is an unfounded rumour. LG and Google are going to have a contract, they're not just gong to say "ho-hum, no more for you".

Maybe LG is annoyed that more people want the nexus which they make no profit on instead of their Optimus G that is nothing more than a skinned improvement of the nexus and the one they make profit on? I kid; but in all reality, it's probably nothing more than rumor.
