Is there an way to grab still images from a video on the nexus 5 after you have finished recording i.e. During playback

there is a way to take a screenshot while playing the video and it works i just tried it.
press and hold for one second power + volume down at the same time. it will take a screenshot and save it under gallery.

And just to add, if you try to take a screenshot from something you've bought or rented on google play movies, you won't be able to.

Thanks for the reply. I know I can take a screenshot, but my One X video player had a "capture image" option during video playback and I found it useful. Was hoping the nexus could do the same

Taking a screenshot is either difficult to time or includes the play button and other controls if it's paused. I know there are many ways to grab a frame on a PC, but I'd be interested in other methods that can be done in the phone as well.
