Nexus 5 Windows 8.1 Driver Support

Does anyone know if Windows 8.1 supports Nexus 5 drivers as I was not able to have the device recognized so I formatted and reloaded 8.0 and all is fine.?

I want to get back to 8.1 yet I will hold off if the Nexus 5 will not be recognized.

Incidentally, Nexus 7 (2012 & 2013) AND nexus 10 also were not recognized in 8.1 and were in 8 but if others have been successful with 8.1 I may have had a corrupted 8.1 system.

I downloaded the zip folder from the link given and followed all your instructions. However, when i redirect it to the path of the folder, it simply says
Windows could not find driver software for your device.

This worked for me:

Open 'ACER Composite ADB Interface' and select 'Update Driver...', in the opened window select 'Browse my computer for driver software' then 'Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer' in the list select 'MTP USB Device' and click on Next button.
