My Galaxy Nexus took a quick bath, so obviously i need a new phone.

I'm wondering what parts are likely to get damaged in an instance like this ... mainly i'm wondering if it's possible to grab a Nexus with a busted screen on Ebay and swap the busted screen with the one i have now?

or is it highly likely there are components that are unremovable from the screen that were water damaged?

Are you sure you need a new phone? Did you dry the phone out? Remove the battery and put it in a bag of raw rice. I dropped my old phone in the toilet. It was only submerged a few seconds. Worked fine after drying it out.

I accidentally took my nexus swimming. for several deep seconds. Upon realizing it, I took the battery out, put in a bag of raw rice overnight and it was fine after that. I did end up getting a new one under warranty later though for different reasons.
