"Google will also release an Android 2.2 update for devices such as HTC Incredible, EVO 4G, HTC Desire and Motorola Milestone in the coming few weeks."
Does this mean the EVO will have a Sense version of 2.2 in a few weeks? Or what exactly?
It can be downloaded over the air. Android 2.2 will also be made available to the Motorola Droid in the near future. Google also plans to make it available to devices such as the HTC Incredible, EVO 4G and Desire, and the Motorola Milestone.
Made available to the Droid IN THE NEAR FUTURE... uhm, DUH.
The only point of contention is whether the Nexus One will actually get Froyo TODAY, which I find highly suspect given everything else coming out of IO right now.
From what I'm seeing on Twitter, Noah @ Phonedog is quoted as stating that no phones will receive Froyo today.

isn't the motorola droid running stock android? i don't think seeing froyo on the droid is any indication of it coming to the evo soon. i'm sure eventually, just not soon.
