Help Nexus One touchscreen problems

Looks like a hardware problem. Have same problem.

Talked with HTC (EVERY interaction with them has been professional and responsive- high marks). Will get replacement phone from them in a couple days.

Since a reset of phone fixes problem (temporarily) I just feel its software - I sure hope so. I do not want to return my perfect N1 (except for this touchscreen prob.)

Yeah I would think it would be software too, if a reset fixing phone. Could be wrong though I guess.

When touchscreen calibration occurs on the phone, a temporary fix would be to do a soft reset (press power, volume down and the trackball simultaneously).
I did that and it solve the problem.

Awesome! That happens a lot to mine, just reboot the thing.

This happens to me ALL DAY EVERYDAY... it gets quite annoying too. But to fix it temporarily, I just turn the screen off with the power button, wait a few seconds and then turn the screen back on. This seems to work... its faster than a hard or soft reboot.
