My nexus one now has multitouch but along with that came unwanted side effects. The device is slower and choppier than ever before. FYI, I used the manual update method using the file directly from google's site.

-screen touch calibration is constantly off
    -slower overall performance
-increase latency of loading of pages in browser
-sometimes notification of text messages are delayed until unlocking

    not sure but:
-youtube video playback seems to be lower much lower quality

Any one else noticing this or am I losing my mind?

Mine had a slow period tonight, but has now recovered (or seems to have). I don't run a task killer, so it might just have been Android not freeing up resources straight away?

On my phone after OTA update I did not notice any slowdown. Typing is better, no more errors. Did not try Youtube video. Browser works fine, like before, multitouch works great in maps , browser and Gallery. 3G seems a little better.

I had some screen calibration issues. Backed up my data with Wavesecure and wiped the phone then restored and all is well again in the land of Nexus One. :)

No issues. Less drain while on 3g(probably due to no switching to 2g). Great update here.

Not happy to hear about those with issues. I use a task killer all the time.

I received the update Thursday night and didn't notice a change in my phone's behavior or responsiveness. Multi-touch works good and the 3G connectivity issue is better, but not perfect.

According to Battery Usage -> Cell Standby my time without a signal is 3% when it was 24 - 25% before the update. So in that respect I've seen a huge improvement, but while I spend more time in 3G I do find myself back down to Edge with little to no bars from time to time. I'm in metropolitan Phoenix so I should be stable. Should be...

The only problem I've noticed since the update is my ruddy homescreen background is always off-centre when exiting apps. It shows the part of the background that should be one screen to the left instead of the centre of the image, until I move to a diff home screen. A little annoying, but I'm sure they'll fix it eventually.

That's my take on all of this. Things will get fixed and I'm fine with that.

Google wants to compete with Apple and will be updating the platform as time goes on. That seems to be the new model and a great departure from the Pocket PC days when you had to buy the next OS upgrade from Microsoft.

Everything is working the same for me but I'm seeing a significant increase in battery life.

after resetting my phone a few times it is better...

i'm still disappointed that the youtube quality was scaled back for 3G streaming.
