I generally use my phone as my primary satnav. I received my Brodit in car cradle and tried the Nexus S as my satnav properly for the first time today.

The GPS signal seems to be hampered by the car kit. I've never experienced this before.

I have the cradle mounted on the vents, high in the centre console. When the phone is oriented in portrait position the GPS signal is none existent. When I take the phone out of the cradle, the GPS function is restored instantly. Weirdly, I tried turning the phone to portrait when in the cradle and it then seems to work fine!

Has anyone else noticed such strange behaviour? I didn't see any problems like this with the Nexus One in a cradle in the same place in my car...
