So, I just bought the Nexus S off a my friend, who consequently upgraded to the Moto Atrix. I have 3G service in my area, I had it on my BB Pearl (new one). Every once in a while I hit 3G ... but most of the time, its only E. My plan gives me 3G on any other phone, and I have my APN set to internet.com blah blah blah.

Any advice, help troubleshooting or anything is very welcome.

First check to make sure your frequency bands match for the Rogers network - 3G/HSPA 850/1900/2100MHz. If yours is 900/1700/2100MHz then it won't work for data on 3G/HSPA as it has the T-Mobile RF unit.

If the bands are good, then get rid of the "internet.com" settings and go with the smartphone APN settings if you have a data plan:

    Rogers Access Point Settings

    • APN: rogers-core-appl1.apn
    • Proxy: <not set>
    • Port: <not set>
    • Username: <not set>
    • Password: <not set>
    • Server: <not set>
    • MMSC: http://mms.gprs.rogers.com
    • MMS Proxy: 10.128.1.69
    • MMS Port: 80
    • MCC: 302 (retrieved from SIM)
    • MNC: 720 (retrieved from SIM).
    • Authentication type: <not set>
    • APN type: <not set>
These are directly from Rogers and match what is auto-provisioned to my Nexus S when I first loaded my SIM card, except for the last APN type setting but it won't matter and these work fine.
