I just got the app for free last weekend, only charge is the 10$/month if you want the redzone streaming....which I got and linked my phone to a second smaller TV :)

Yes the app itself is free. If you installed before July 22ish then you can stream Sunday night games and red zone without the vcast fee. Guess will know tomorrow if that has changed.

I can't even watch videos on the app any more and I installed before the July 22ish date.

Earlier in the week I had that "must subscribe to vcast" message. I was able to stream NFL Network again on Friday. I'm so used to having it for free, it's going to suck next season!

I was wondering about this too. I was getting those warning messages that I had to subscribe in order to stream video. But now I can stream it without being warned that I need to subscribe. What does this mean? Am i getting charged or am I streaming it for free? I called a rep, and of course they say to avoid streaming if I don't want to pay for it.

Same here. I just chalked it up to a technical mistake on VZ's part and that they fixed it.

This is a great example of companies RAPING customers. We are forced to pay for a @#$%ing data plan yet we can't watch the videos in the app?! That is a big WTF for me! I mean seriously, if I haven't used all of my data plan bandwidth for the month I should have to pay for vCast!

I agree to a certain extent. I could handle paying even 15 bucks or more. But 10 bucks a month is total shit

so i'm still confused. If we can stream without receiving a warning message about vcast, does that mean we are paying or getting it for free?

Means it is free, you shouldn't be able to view vcast without formally accepting the extra charges I don't think. To be sure though just call and ask... better yet check out the my verizon app. Should be able to tell from there
