Help No AndroidForums app in Playstore

You do not need the app.
The app has not been kept up with anyway.

My solution was to use a browser which is a derivative of my normal browser.

I set the browser to accept cookies, although not 3rd party cookies.
(If you clear cookies, then you will be logged out each time you close the browser.)
I logged in to Android Forums, set the following link...

https://androidforums.com/?thread_filter=new

as the homepage, and it works just as if it were a purpose made app.

In fact, because the browser allows for unlimited bookmarks and tabs, it allows me to share links and find things online to answer issues for people on this forum.

There are multiple versions of the browser that I use for this, and each one has different options.

Personally, I prefer an older version of one called Midori.

If you are unfamiliar with Lightning (the browser that Midori and others have came from), here is the original...

https://f-droid.org/en/packages/acr.browser.lightning/

This browser may very well become your mainstay browser.
It is extremely fast, and can be set up to be very secure.

You can have multiple versions of this app (they all have different names) and set the homepage to be any link that you choose.
This allows you to use the web version of a site, yet have the additional options that a dedicated browser can provide.

Some other derivatives of Lightning that are available are...

https://f-droid.org/en/packages/org.midorinext.android/

https://f-droid.org/en/packages/com.cookiegames.smartcookie/

I have used Lightning for years now.
It (as do the others) uses the Android System Webview that is built into every Android device.

Some devices use Chrome as the webview app, and so this should be changed in Developers Options.
Some devices will require the disabling of Chrome in order to change the webview app.

None of this is as difficult as it may seem at first.

A webview is an app that allows other apps to present material that is online.
When Android System Webview gets an update, the browsers that use it are basically being updated as well.
So don't expect constant updates to these browsers, as it is not necessary.
