Using a Motorola WEP490 bluetooth with my Samsung Galaxy Core Prime. Android v 5.1.1.
I don't have an option is settings to route audio through bluetooth. Can anyone tell me if it is a limitation with this bluetooth device, or a problem with my phone?

Presumably it works OK for phone calls. But you mean route music and video sound to it? No, this headset doesn't support that. Basically it supports the BT headset and hands-free profiles, but not the (A2DP) HQ stereo profile.

I think most of these one side only mono BT headsets are really intended just for phone calls.

There's an app you could try called Sound About. Which basically forces the phone to route media audio to the BT headset etc. But quite frankly music played via the BT headset profile sounds absolutely awful.
