Last week I bought a mint condition DROID 1. It has zero scratches and, according to the seller, was used for three days when she purchased it new, two years ago. She is disabled and she said it was too complicated for her so she re-activated her old flip phone and put this one in a drawer. After I purchased this phone I went straight to the Verizon store for activation. It had a clean ESN and activation went smoothly in terms of phone features; however, no data features. They worked on it for two hours and then gave up declaring the phone to be defective. Now I wonder, do I just throw it out? Any thoughts or ideas will be appreciated. Thanks.
