No HTML Messages in Corporate Email

Anyone else getting full HTML email properly in their corporate exchange accounts? All my gmail based accounts are showing up with HTML formatted messages as they should but all of the HTML formatted messages on my exchange account end up looking like markup language. I turned off the accept all certs and I'm now able to properly download attachments from exchange just not able to get HTML emails to display properly.

i believe exchange 2007 is needed for html emails!

I'm connected to an exchange 2007 server and I can see them as HTML on my blackberry and in Outlook as HTML.

have u tried this? on the mail app, go to menu > more > settings > send & receive > message format. mine is grayed out b/c mu company is on exchange 2007. check yours (if you haven't already done so) to see what options you have.

In the email app I don't have a more after menu... I only get refresh, Compose, Folders, Accounts, and Account Settings.... Where are you seeing this again?

oops... i have the sprint htc hero... that's why things are not on the place i wrote above. i guess it would be account settings (i'm definitely guessing here as i do not own a droid).

Strange I can't find anything like that.

In acct settings I get:
amount to sync
Default acct (yes no)
email notifications (yes no)
select ringtone
vibrate (yes no)
Incoming settings (this only contains server name and user/pass then the SSL setting is in here too.)
sync contacts (yes no)

Did you ever get this fixed? I'm having the same problem with my corporate email. None of the html emails are showing properly.

I've heard that you have to have Exchange 2007 to get HTML emails. I have no idea why that matters. I'll be able to test this later today. I can confirm that on Exchange 2003, my HTML emails show up as full text including all the HTML code, which pretty much stinks.

Thanks for the feedback. I wonder about the Exchange 2007 requirement. I downloaded and tested the Touchdown app and it rendered html emails perfectly. I didn't keep it because I didn't need all of its functionality nor did I want to pay the cost.

If Touchdown can handle html on an Exchange 2003 server, why can't the native app?

As with any question of this type: use another app. If the stock app doesn't have the feature you want/need then look into other apps. You aren't stuck with using the stock apps.
