My HTC Desire has been performing well until the other day. Something has changed with the keypad that is available during a phone call.

Up until recently, if you took the phone away from your ear, there was a keypad available with number keys. If the phone call was to an automated system, this gave the option to press a number (e.g. to press '1' to listen to new voice mail messages).

I've not altered any settings, but the keypad no longer appears during calls, so I have no way to retrieve my voicemails!

All that is available are a set of buttons to 'mute', play on speaker phone, 'Add call' or 'hold'.

There appears to be a button that should bring up a keypad, but this does nothing.

Please can someone help point me in the direction of a fix?

    Thanks in advance.
