I can't believe what is being reported. No microSD card on the Nexus S???

WTF? This is the biggest fail I have ever seen. I use the microSD card all the time on my Android phones to transfer photos, ROM zip files, other backs, all without the need to connect the phone to my Windows PCs which frequently fails to recognize the phones due to USB issues.

This brings shades of WP7, where there is no microSD that is user accessible. WTF?? Android experience is incomplete without the user ability to use microSD cards!

Perhaps Google is putting more emphasis on cloud storage.

This phone caters to the needs of most people, and most people don't need more storage than 16GB. I never remove my SD card, I find that it's quicker to plug in the cable than to pop off the back cover.

It's not a big problem anyway, there's no lack of differently-spec'ed Android phones. If you don't like this one, get a different phone.

Or more likely they dropped the ball and didn't think this one thru properly. In this day & age, no sd card slot is an epic failure.

At least if they wanted to be like iPhone they could have given an option to purchase a 32GB version too. However, I'd still prefer a microSD slot.

Because the iPhone requires iTunes to transfer data, if it had a microSD slot then nobody would be using iTunes and Apple wouldn't like that.

So, the iPhone is an epic failure, too?

I wouldn't say the entire phone is a failure but not having an option to use an sd card is.
