    Cliff notes:

    1. Make sure your ringtones are under 300kb
    2. No need to add a .nomedia file to folder

My problem was that the Music Player was showing my ringtones which I didn't want to happen. I didn't realize that all of my ringtones were larger than 300kb (coming from iPhone) and that the music player mistook my ringtones for a actual song (Music Player will not list the ringtone if it is under 300kb)...

Shrunk the files to under 300kb, placed them on the microSD in a "Ringtones" folder and everything works like a charm. You won't have to go searching thru Sound/sd/sdcard/media/audio/ringtones as the file will appear under the "Phone Ringtones" scrolling menu.

I am a happy camper and I hope this helps anyone who was annoyed like i was :D
