Help No Notifications on Galaxy S

ok..here goes the much talked about NO NOTIFICATIONS problem..has anyone come up with some solution to it..?..my Galaxy S does not show any facebook notification at all not even in the top left notification bar on home screen let alone push notification. it is extremely frustrating.:mad: any solutions?
