    Hi everyone,

I'm new here so I'm not really sure if this problem has occurred before (in this kind of way).

    Problem:
I incidentally removed my OS from my phone (HTC One M8) and since then I have haven't been able to restore it back. I keep getting the HTC load screen or my Bootloader screen.

    Situation:
I can access my Bootloader, but I can't acces TWRP(even though I was using it before) This changed after I tried to update the TWRP 2.7.02 to 2.8.
I work with a Mac but I can occasionally use a pc.

    Phone information:
    HTC one M8 (European)
    Bootloader unlocked
TWRP gave me notice it wasn't rooted anymore
    S-on
Carrier = European KPN in the Netherlands and I can use any carrier since my phone doesn't block them.
Recovery or any third party programs used: Tried using TWRP but as I told I can't access it anymore since i fast booted the stock recovery.img.
I downloaded the stock rom and recovery.img, which are the correct one.

Can anyone help me with, I'm getting desperate since I usually use this phone to contact work and school.

    Many thanks in advance!

Then use Odin to flash a new recovery from download mode. Google
    "[Device model number] odin flash"

I'm a bit new to this. How do I exactly do this?

    Thanks for your quick reply!

I looked for the RUU's can't seem to find one that really should work for me, aside from that shouldn't your boot loader be locked for using RUU's? I saw another post about saying you also need S-off? Im getting confused about it.

How do I apply this RUU?
    -European phone (GSM)
-No carrier specified(I can use any carrier on it)
    -Bootloader unlocked
    -S-on
    -Working on a MAC

Odin is an app for Samsung phones only, so don't worry about that.

If you want to use an RUU then it's a Windows executable. Put the phone into fastboot mode (from the bootloader), connect to a PC via USB and run the RUU .exe on the PC. You can't do anything with an RUU using a Mac (unless you have something like parallels and a copy of Windows). And yes, you need to lock the bootloader, but you can do that using fastboot ("fastboot oem lock").

However, can you not just fastboot flash TWRP back to the phone (if 2.7.0.2 was working previously, try that again), stick a custom ROM .zip on the SD card, then use TWRP to install it?

I think you'd get the best advice in our M8 forum, so am going to ask one of the moderators to move this thread to there.

Thanks, well I tried flashing a ROM with TWRP but it said something about MD5 file missing and failed to check MD5 or it stated that the whole flashing failed.
Ill try to Flash the TWRP 2.7.02 again and do the whole rom installation.
I can get to a windows pc in a couple of hours and try the RUU.

Thanks and i'll let you know if it worked!
