Available soon for Note 7 AT&T WTH
Works just fine on VZW.
Glad to hear it works on VZW. Android pay is all well and good but quite limited around here.
Worked great on T-Mobile. Already got the$20 gift card for making a transaction. [emoji106]
Sprint day 1 bought pack of gum 1 min latter $20 gift card in wallet
yup. free $20 for buying what I was going to, anyway
So how does Samsung Pay work with the chip cards? Does it, or do I still have to stick the stupid card into the terminal?
considering it's a wireless solution, not sure how they'd expect you to plug anything in. the point is to NOT carry cards with you...
Exactly. The chip cards were supposed to make life better and more secure, but so far they're a disaster. They're much slower and clunkier than regular cards. I just don't know how Samsung Pay handles chip cards. One way to find out, I guess
My credit card is a chip card, and it's the only card I've registered on Samsung pay. I've probably used Samsung pay about 2 dozen times between my Note5, new Note7 and GearS2 watch. NEVER have had any problems. It's great!
Yep, I experimented with it this morning and made two purchases at two different stores. No problem!
Plus I snagged $20 from Samsung... what's not to love?
Exactly! Also, if you refer a friend, and they make a purchase, you both get $5! I've done this twice now so I have a total of $30 on my Samsung gift card now! SCORE!!
I have the AT&T Note 7 ans Samsung Pay works just fine..
I have Samsung Pay on my Note 7. I have not used it yet, but I will test it soon .....
Works great, and I already received my $20 for using it. Sweeeet.
Works like a charm. Got my $20 plus another $5 off my bill at the same time for using it at Olive Garden as my first use. As an added bonus my bank offers cash back rewards and I will be getting an additional 10% cash back to my account for the meal. Sweet!
used mine twice today, i was picking up pool supplies at Leslies and the cashier freaked out, he said he has never seen anyone pay with their phone before.
My Note 7 has it, and I've activated it. However finding a place that actually accepts Samsung Pay here is still rather thin on the ground. Seems to be the expensive department stores, larger hotels, airports and fancier restaurants so far. Basically because most of the cheaper small family run places just don't have the necessary EPOS terminals. So they all use Ten Pay or Ali Pay, which requires nothing more for them to have a QR code, and anyone can do that, where previously they would have been cash only. NO fancy merchant services required. Apple Pay is the same as well, basically the same places as Samsung Pay, as it uses NFC.
Grocery stores, Walmart, Petsmart, really any store that has a card reader where you swipe a card to pay will accept Samsung pay. Just hit credit card and hold your phone by the card reader with your finger on the phone sensor to authorize. No NFC needed.
