You should go with crusader01's method to recover since he had the same original problem and fixed it for both of you. I don't agree that the stock bootloader needs to be unlocked to flash the ENG hboot if you are S-OFF but it won't hurt anything either since you can always reset the unlocked status with the zip files that scotty85 and brian706 have tested.

If everything works OK with what you have now I would stay with that.
