So I flashed a BAMF 2.0 rom and learned the hard way that i needed to flash a Gb radio with it. that took about a day to figure out.

I didnt like the GB rom and wanted to flash back to BAMF 1.7

I thought it would be as easy as restoring from nandroid (like ive done 100s of times with my OG)

I guess i need to flash a froyo radio first.

So I'v tried flashing different froyo radios I got from the xda page [RADIO] HTC Thunderbolt Radios [PG05IMG.zip] (Updated: 16 May 2011) - xda-developers
I tried the stock one and a couple of others, then flashed a new Bamf rom. Still no service. (the battery cover was back on the phone).

I am flashing the radio through bootloader.
What am i doing wrong? Flashing the wrong radio?
should I be flashing the radio called radio? or the one labeled LTE?

You'll need to flash one of each(cdma and lte) . You'll need to package up your radios of choice with an android info file, zip it and rename pg05img.

Better option would be to use adrenalynes thread(the obligatory radio thread) as he has downloads with both radios together in different combos.

You're not geting signal because you're only flashing 1 at a time. Use one of adrenalynes combos and you'll be back in business :)
