Help No signal while charging

I am on Att with my google Nexus one. My phone refuses to get any signal when plugged into the wall outlet. I am not sure what is causing this. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

Is there anything I can do to troubleshoot this? I got the phone second hand from ebay. If I can't get this squared away I will have to sell this phone and hope somebody else has better luck with it than I do.

Yeah, my HTC incredible does the same thing. I'm gonna take it back and probably buy a diff phone.
