I am not aware of any issues with any rom not having sound. Maybe you should flash a different rom to see if that helps, if it doesn't I would think that rules out a software issue.
Im gonna go back to stock and then proceed from their. I with it was just a bad speakers, because those are cheap and easy to install. But my gut feeling is telling me it is something far worse.
Do you get sound on a call? It seems like it could be a software issue since it is affecting both headphones and the speaker. If that is the case going to a stock rom or any other rom should help.
If you feel like really testing the waters before deciding on hardware failure you could unroot and flash one of the stock RUUs to restore everything as it would be stock. I am thinking this is likely hardware failure perhaps caused by the same thing that caused the screen breaking
