Help No suggestions from contacts when I try to txt message

I got my phone yesterday and copied all my contacts from my older phone through my sim card to my N1, now when I try to txt msg someone from my contacts, in the TO: box, when I type a name, nothing comes down as a suggested contact and only numbers related to each letter i type comes underneath it, like if I type John below it these numbers appear

Make sure you have your contacts phone numbers listed as a mobile number on the N1. Apparently, if they aren't set as mobile the N1 will think it's a landline and not allow you to text them.
