No text notification in notification bar.

So, I recently installed an SMS app on my Galaxy S3 because I wanted more theme customization for my messaging, and I had to turn off the default notifications from my regular texting app, because it would make two notification sounds at once. I turned that off, and a couple days later uninstalled the SMS app, just because I wasn't happy with it (Ads and everything), but now I can't see any of my incoming texts in the notification bar, nor can I see them when I pull the bar down. I've already tried checking the notification box on my regular texting app, but it still doesn't show my notifications. Any idea how to fix this?

Reinstall the app you uninstalled. Turn off notifications in that one. Turn on notifications in the stock one. Uninstall the new one.
