NoLED doesn't launch apps

I'm on a SGS2 with ICS and got the NoLED update today with the ability to launch apps via the notification icons it displays but it seems like the screen doesn't sense I'm touching it so it doesn't launch the app. I don't get the little vibrate like it's supposed to do to indicate it recognizes I'm touching the screen. Is anyone else having this problem?

My phone isn't rooted. I am using Nova Launcher instead of the stock T-Mobile crappy launcher. I use the stock messenger app.

I emailed the developer after not turning up any similar issues via a google search but haven't heard back yet. Does anyone have any ideas what the problem might be?

I got an email back from the developer that fixed it.

"go to NoLED settings > Miscellaneous > Dismis buttons and see whether Dismiss with Home is enabled? It needs to be enabled to have the launch apps functionality working."

I had changed the Dismiss button to the volume slider so changing it back to the Home button fix the problem.
