Hello all. Please excuse me if this has been asked and answered. I have searched the forum and I can't find the exact answer, only similar ones.

I currently have the HTC Legend after a screw up by my network. I originally wanted the HTC Desire. I've only had it a couple of days, but I've customised a lot, and just about got it how I want it. Now my network are trying to get me the Desire I originally wanted. If I get lucky, and they're able to provide it, I'd like to be able to back up the settings on my Legend, and port them over to the new Desire.

Does anyone know if this is possible? I know the apps will be backed up against my profile on the market. I've found details on how to do this if I was swapping Legend to Legend, but it explicitly states that this will not work if swapping to a different handset. Anyone got any tips, or will I just have to deal with it?

    Thanks in advance!
