Noob Question

OK,
So I rooted my phone. First one ever, so thanks to all the websites out there. Now my question is, what do I do from here? I see all these ROMS, but not a good definition of what they actually do. How do i know what one I want?

What about apps? Are they handled the same way?

Guess I am not seeing the benefit of rooting. I am obviously missing something.

I recommend you have a look at LeeDrOiD here.

It runs and looks much the same as stock but just more customizable, smoother and faster.

i noticed you didnt speak of custom recovery you will need this to flash a rom plese understand the process first ive bricked one phone from lack of knowledge

It's actually really hard to permanently brick it. Check everything and take your time and you'll be fine I'm sure.
