Got a Desire from Vodafone, no branding and unlocked.

What do I have to do to get Apps2SD on it?

Have HTC announced that a future update will allow Apps on an SD card, or is this all speculation?

to update to this new rom would we follow your same rooting guide but instead of Step 3. [Move the rootedupdate.zip download onto the sdcard now in the phone.] could copy the 2.2 rom.zip?
