I just received the x2 it took less then 3min with gingerbreak to root, still don't understand how to freeze apps, and things like tethering. I pay >$100 per month and they want more for tethering. I don't do heavy web download and uploading. anyone agree to that?

    Welcome to Android Forums!

It doesn't matter what we think about tethering fees. The reality is that it is part of your agreement with the carrier that if you are going to tether, they are within their rights to charge you extra for it. If you do it without a tethering plan they can add the fee to your plan or cancel your service.
