I just got a report that Debbie Reynolds, Carrie Fisher's mom, has been rushed to the hospital...
Yeah, I saw that too on CNN: http://www.cnn.com/2016/12/28/entertainment/debbie-reynolds-hospitalized/index.html
I'm not surprised, she has to be nearly in shock. I can't imagine what it must be like to lose a child, at any age and under any circumstances. God knows it's hard enough to lose a parent.
Her son confirmed she has passed away.
Ah, man. 2016, you cannot end soon enough.
The link above from CNN that I posted confirms her passing.
2016 .... UNCLE already! Geez
Death does not take a holiday, trust me more celebrities will die in 2017.
Absolutely, no doubt.
When I started this thread, I chose the title kind of tongue-in-cheek.
However, 2016 seems to have embraced the challenge and has proven to be particularly rough on very well known/beloved celebs, much more so than any year I can recall.
It will be interesting to see what 2017 holds in store in that regard. I, for one, hope it doesn't try to challenge 2016.
Maybe the 2017 thread will be titled "Not a good year for politicians and corporate execs" I think you should start that, @rootabaga just to get the ball rolling.
It was actually worse than I thought. There's quite a few we missed:
This is a pretty good list as well
Uh...not a good list. A more complete one, perhaps, but there's nothing "good" about it.
2016 ain't going down without a fight. Aside from it already being a leap year, it's going to be one second longer, too. It just wanted every chance possible to suck...
Let's count the hours ...
only 38.5 to go
Barbara Tarbuck at 74
37:12 to go
Don't forget that extra second...
Just watched Star Wars Ep IV with my Daughter, who's never seen it before - in preparation for seeing Rogue One tomorrow.
RIP Carrie Fisher.
Be ready to cover her eyes at the end... That CGI character in the very last scene is kinda scary.
Does Pan Pan, the world's oldest panda count?
Its been updated again
When did Lady Penelope and Postman Pat pass away?
Thanks for the warning.
Allan Williams, The Beatles first manager.
