I have a stock LG Optimus V (used only with wifi) on Android 2.2.1, per the phone. I've been trying to dload Firefox 4 from https://market.android.com/details?id=org.mozilla.firefox&hl=en. The download never starts, hanging on a question about what device I have. The only device that shows up in the dropdown is greyed out and appears to say 'Mid-Tex Cellular phone'. Any suggestions on getting past this are appreciated.
(I'm looking for Firefox because I have bookmarks already shared by my other devices using XMarks).

same for me. i just checked the Firefox system requirements and they say ARMv7 but Optimus V is ARMv6. the Firefox page that lists compatible devices specifically excludes Optimus V. :(

btw, does anyone know how to make Android Market not say my phone is Mid-Tex Cellular? i have Virgin Mobile.
