Update 2: OK, not the craigslist app as it's uninstalled. The wifi is the culprit here, but I'm not sure what's triggering it. After pulling the phone off the charger in the morning the wifi doesn't want to ever go off unless I toggle it with the Power Control switch, after which the phone will sleep. In Spare Parts it shows the phone running at 100% since being unplugged and wifi also running 100%. I'd prefer to keep the wifi on all the time, just not having it running and eating battery. Anyone experience or fix this?

Update: That was fast. I discovered it was the Craigslist app that I recently installed. In it's permissions it says that it prevents the phone from sleeping.

I've discovered that after pulling my Droid X off the charger that it is not automatically going to sleep when it's idle. I'll wait a few minutes and then check the battery history in Spare Parts and find that the phone has been running 100% of the time. It'll stay like that all day unless I toggle on/off airplane mode, after which the phone will sleep like normal. Once I plug in again the process repeats. Here's my setup:

    Apex 1.3.1
    Overclocked manually with kernel module

This was an issue when the DX first came out, but the problem was found to be caused by GPS and I don't think that's the case here. Anyone else experience something similar? I know it could just be a rogue app, but I'm curious.

Are there any apps showing up with high partial wake lock times in spare parts?

I was waiting until this morning to respond, because I fgured I'd check Spare Parts this morning and see if anything was askew. I had already rebooted and hence cleared the history yesterday. Of course, the phone didn't have the 100% running problem today, but I'm sure it'll happen again and then we'll see if there are any problem partial wake lock apps.

You might try Watchdog to see what's abusing your battery. You have to open it after installing it to set it up.

It happened again this morning. I checked my phone last night before plugging it into the charger and everything was normal; it was sleeping as it should. After unplugging this morning and then looking about 20 minutes later it was running 100% along with wifi and the toggling fixed it. There were no other apps or programs running when I looked at all the information that Spare Parts provides, so I've installed Watchdog Lite as suggested above. Now to see if it will give me any more info when the problem happens again.

Watchdog isn't reporting any problems, though I've had the running 100% issue return. I've discovered that half the problem is the blur dialer bug talked about here:

The other half is related to wifi as sometimes that is also running 100% even when the phone should be sleeping. I'm not sure why the two issues are connected, but toggling wifi fixes both and allows the phone to sleep.
