Debating on whether to get note 3 now or wait till note 4 is released which i know is only a rumor but Samsungs track record i would be shocked if there wasnt a note 4 by late summer 2014.
So either i can go with note 3 now under the NEXT Program or.....
Wait till January 2015 and sign a 2 year contract and get note 4 which if released by September 2014 would be 4 months old.
Of course the flip side is i wont be eligible again till September till 2015....

Also tossing around the idea of a tablet under next program..

Do you need a new phone now? Get a Note 3.

Do you want a new phone now but don't want to be "stuck" with yesterday's technology? Don't buy a new phone ever and move to a log cabin in the woods, because something better will always be released tomorrow.

What the others are trying to say, with gentle humour, is that it's impossible to make a subjective decision based on "what might...." rumours. If you're determined to wait for the next big thing..... you'll be forever waiting.

Put it another way - will you be any better off in a year's time with a device that's still 4 months into its lifespan? ;)

it's just a phone, not like a property which you really need to consider carefully.

buy Note 3 now and enjoy the moment, never know what will happen tomorrow. :D

Actually one of our members is a Note 3 users who lives in a cabin in the woods and he's loving his Note 3.

I don't want to sound like a shill for Simon Legere the CEO of t-mobile, but if you really want a Note 3 now consider switching to t-mobile. There are a lot of incentives being pushed by t-mobile to switch and if you manage to pay for half of the Note 3 while your in the JUMP program with them you'd be eligible to switch to the Note 4 if it's released in September/October 2014.

Are there issues with t-mobile? Yes. Just check some of my posts in the T-mobile forum . Do some research before you switch. Read all the fine print and check coverage maps for your area before you consider switching.

But the real question is........ Wait for the Note 4 or wait for the note 5......

There's always a newer better one coming. As previously stated, if you need a new phone now get the Note 3 on a 24mths contract and the then get the Note 5.......

    Better yet!

Get a Note 3 now with a 2yr contract and IF the Note 4 is that earth shattering with new bells & whistles you can sell your Note 3 at a pretty good value and then purchase the Note 4 at retail. I bought one of our Note 3's at full retail on Black Friday for $599.00 (Verizon 1-day $100.00 off deal). When you buy full retail and switch phones it doesn't affect your contract.

This is the way to enjoy the outstanding Note 3 NOW!!!

Don't fall sucker into the Jump, Edge, etc. programs. They remind me of car trade-in programs. You'll be amazed at how great of a price you can get on ebay for your used cellphone and then purchase a newer version phone whenever you want.

If you decide to wait for the potential Note 4 next year, then you'll be here wondering if you should get the Note 4 or wait for the rumored Note 5...

There is always something better just around the corner. Sometimes you just have to say to hell with it and jump in. Even if there is a Note 4 next summer, the Note 3 will still be a very good phone. A little faster, a little more memory, longer battery life, but nothing likely to be revolutionary.

And this right here is the case with all phones- now or later.

Many of us are simply enthusiasts who'll get the newest phone regardless of the voices in our heads trying to lend reason we don't "need" that new phone right now.

There was nothing wrong at all with my Note 2 but like evohicks I'd be wondering what the Note 3 was like so I got it.

Yeah, there is that... wannting the latest and greatest. I had absolutely no nneed to upgrade from my S3. Hell, for most of my uses I didn't even need to upgrade to that. Ok, now maybe because I do use my phone differently.

I try not to ge the first to get anything though. Let others test them out in the real world first. Though I didn't do much research on the N3 when I bought it.

Currently I have the HTC One. I am bypassing the HTC One 2 and S5. I wanted to get the Note 3 now, but I am going to wait for Note 4. I am not waiting for Note 5 bc you never know what will happen today, tomorrow or next year.

I asked myself that as well but the Note 4 won't be out until at least later in the year. Who wants to wait that long? The Note 3 is an excellent device. You can always get it using the Next 12 month option and just get the 4 a year from now. win-win

My Samsung Galaxy S2 was at the end of the OTA updates available for it so getting a Note 3 was a no brainer for me. I'm getting the Note 4 on t-mobile release day but this time I'm pretty sure I won't be able to keep the previous phone. I'll miss the Note 3.

That's the problem with these new plans; you don't get to keep the old phone unless you want to just pay out on it. Question now is, what is the Note 4 going to give us? I'm not overly concerned because the 3 is so darn good.

I have note 3 and if note 4 comes out I need to review and compare side by side the new features and changes. Then I will decide if I am to get it or not.

Probably a lot like upgrading to a new iPhone. They tend to be so similar it;s hard to know if its worth the upgrade. Still, when my time comes for a new one, it will be the Note 4.
