keyword is definitely competent! lmao
Kat, I don't think Best Buy currently has the Tmo unlocked variations of the note 3. That's not to say it wont still work. Its just that if you get an unlocked Tmo version specifically or just buy one from Tmobile, All the 4g/3g bands etc... will be perfect for the network.
for sure if I could max out competent in monster font I would have, I'm like the dos equis man of metro
yup, and if it does pick up 4g, it will probably be spotty, corp tmobile stores will sell one to you straight up, but they will hit sales tax on it, and if I'm not mistaken, thats probably close to what you will spend on a case for it
I couldn't find a T-mobile store selling a Note 3 without subscription in north-dade/south broward.
I have an at&t store that can sell me one unlocked. Would it work? Are they exact same or is there a difference?
you would have to double check google and see if the bands are the same, I believe they are, but definitely do some research before spending $700 on a phone before taking my word on it lol
I found that on xda forum:
... AT&T Note 3 does not support the T-Mobile 1700 band... So you are better of getting the T-Mobile version and using it on AT&T...
Since it supports all T-Mobile and AT&T bands...

You sure? My s4 is AT&T and I have lte on metro right now without any mods
The ATT Note 3 supports B4 1700 (just putting all the names out there) AWS LTE out of the box but to get AWS HSPA there would need to be a mod
AT&T is actively rolling out AWS LTE just like Verizon & Tmobile so I dont think they will be rolling out any none AWS phone from now. Would be stupid to make a new network but making phones that can't get on
like how they have it for the att note 2 and stuff? because my att s4 picked up LTE with no mods, it just was unlocked of course.
It's unlocked and not tied to any carrier that's why I was asking. It is $899 on BB website, very pricey!!! Unfortunately I have to hold off on buying the N3 until this stupid government shutdown is resolved. My husband is a veteran and in addition to his normal paycheck gets a monthly benefits check which helps with the rent & bills. Now it is uncertain if or when he'll get his next check so I'll have to hang on to the money I've been saving up. Sucks that they pull this crap right before the holidays
even though the phone is an unlocked device and not tied to any carrier, they still tend to be created for certain spectrums. So you can find an unlocked note 3 that is best for At&T or an unlocked note 3 Best for Tmobile. All it means is that they can work for that particular carrier without you needing to do any more work.
Sorry to hear this Gov. thing has thrown a wrench in your plans.
At $900 before taxes, I think you can save some money by getting it at Tmobile or buying an unlocked one online. I have not used negri electronics but I have heard some people on here talking about it. here is a link. Tmobile versions are up for preorder but it sounds like you can wait a bit.
Wow thats pricey.. at tmobile they say its 740 before prices
I'm in the process of getting my note 2 back on as we speak, if its not fast enough, I will go get the note 3.
Let us know. The fastest I have gotten on the Note 3 is 17.62 down and 8.76 up. It usually averages 15mbps though.
I have only done 4 speed tests.
I'm using my note 2 as of right now, running battery tests, speed tests later today, I know I hit 30mb on my Xperia Z, so I'm curious what the note 2 will peak at
Nov.7 cant come any faster for me
Gotten 23.52 down and 13.84 up
28.57mb is my fastest so far on the note 2
I finally ordered a N900T on ebay for $640 with good ESN/EMEI.
Negri Electronics will get some more next week only for $729 (you'll get an extra $10 off if you register with them). I still preferred to save $80...and put them in the special offer of $99 for 2 years insurance for Samsung Galaxy products from squaretrade.
omg, I'm sorry, but I'm sure I'm not the only one thinking this, that's like $729, plus a case, to rich for my blood my friend. Hope you like it!!
Why I went with EIP and jump
If I choose to buy a Note 4 or whatever goodness they have around this time next year I'd have only payed around $400 for the Note 3
Can also look at it that with tmobile I'm paying less than $5 more a month but the phone I paid 0 down for is included with more service because of the 2.5GB of hotspot and SimpleGlobal for when I go to Jamaica next month
Just a matter of if it works out for you, I'd probably be waiting on the Nexus5 if I still had metro
truth, personally, I dont need an IR blaster etc, my note 2 got me through my 14 1/2 hour day and still have 38% battery left, that's good enough for me, and it's already unlocked, I just wish I could find like an international roaming option with data when I do travel.
The Note 2 is an incredible device, i'm expecting the Note 3 to be at least at the same level for the next 2 years... i was waiting for the Nexus 5 (looked at LG G2 and Xperia Z1 also), but my 2 years old LG Connect 4G is giving me harder and harder time every day (yestereday, i couldn't answer my phone for like 10mn and typing txt was not showing on my screen. i had to restart it twice!!!). It's definitively time to change to a more efficient one!
Im assuming the note 3 will be future proof for me until atleast the note 5 comes out..my gs3's power button took a crap on me so now it glitchs out and restarts itself if its touched..so im back on the fe3 until i get the note 3 then im doing warranty exchange with samsung
