NOTE 3 SD not reading after 3 years

KITKAT 4.42

32 GB Micro SD card. Stopped showing up. MOUNT MICRO SD card grayed out

Card works in PC and another Android phone.

2nd Card works in another Android phone but not in Note 3

Reformatted a 16GB card in PC and it doesn't show up in Note 3

I have update ready to install for Lollipop but don't like it Is it possible that update will fix or is it 100% hardware?
