This thread started about two years ago, but I reply here for someone who might be having a similar problem.
If all you need is view and edit
password-protected text-only notes without any media such as pics/audio, and you would not mind
syncing notes via usb, here is what I would suggest. (and what I'm doing)
1. On your desktop, install Tombo from
TOMBO Project (I'm using v1.17). This is a text editor organizing files by folders which allows you to protect some of the files with your own password. Make a folder anywhere on your desktop, then set it as a root folder of Tombo.
2. On your android device, install miniNoteViewer. This is a text editor which is able to create/edit Tombo files with passwords. (Use "save as" for encryption) Make a folder at any location on your SD card. You may want to set up an initial folder.
I suggest you let both softwares use first lines of a text file as a file name.
3. Use a desktop file sync software to sync files two-way. I use Allway Sync, but you may use any software, like SyncToy as mentioned, that does the job. (I have not used SyncToy)
Now you are all set. Although not real-time, you can now make password-protected text notes from both your android/desktop, and sync them. I wish I could do this via Bluetooth though. I would appreciate it if anyone could recommend a good bluetooth file sync app.
