Notification LED blinking weird...?

Forgive me guys, if there's already a thread on this... I couldn't find it and I couldn't find and answer on Google either...

The other day my phone was almost dead so I plugged it in, then went about my business like every other day.
But this time when I came back to it a few hours later the LED was blinking green>orange>green>orange>green>orange

What does that mean?? I even looked through the Hero user manual...

Its gone back to normal since then, but its happened on another occasion before...

Any help?

it means that your phone is too hot... This happened to me to, and i went and asked a buddy of mine who also had the hero but for longer and he told that when your phone gets too hot it blinks orange-green-orange-green really fast... its too let you know so you dont fry your battery. its a really good feature if you think about it

Ahh, nice... actually I had wondered if that may be the case- the last time it happened I had left it in my center console in my car :/ ...and I'm in south TX lol
