Nexus 5x owners: I have email, Gmail and text messages all using the same notification. Would like to use a separate notification sound for text messages, and don't care if I get notification for email or not. Any ideas?

You should be able to set those independently. Since gmail is now the default mail app with Nexuses (Nexii?) ;) I'll explain that one.

Open Gmail. tap on the hamburger menu and then scroll to the bottom for settings. You'll see a list of your accounts setup, Gmail and any POP3 or IMAP accounts. tap on the account name and about halfway down the settings you can choose "ringtone" this is the notification you get for mail. You can make them all the same, all different or none at all ... in any combination.

As for texts, that setting should be in your texting app as well, but it will be dependent on which app you use.
