Help notification tone stutters

at least 50% of the time, my notification tones stutter or "skip" when a text/email is received. this happens with stock sounds and ones i've added. my droid is rooted/oc'ed (otherwise stock 2.0.1), but the problem was there even at 2.0. i have vibrate enabled, could this be causing the problem?

Good question. That happens to me as well. I am running Adamz's Smoked Glass v6.0 2.1(ESE 53) build oc'ed to 800 Mhz...
