I got tired of seeing blinking.lights and notifications so i turned them off for lookout and avast. Is there any reason to have notifications turned on for these?

    Thanks.

Which one are you currently using? I'd say it could be for updates, to notify you when it's done scanning and or found something. Haven't used either one in awhile to be honest.

I have the free versions of both installed and they constantly blink a light. If there is a reason i should keep the notifications on i will.

I don't know about having two Different AV's running at the same time. Having both running at the same time could cause problems or conflicts. I'd say it could be important to have them on so it can alert you of something like updates and such. Did you ever see what the notifications were?
