For me, one of the annoyances about Android phones is that I haven't been able to figure out how to stop a notification from playing once the sound goes off. You know how on a regular cell phone, the ringer will go off and you push a button or the end key and it'll stop (whether it be for an e-mail, SMS, or call)?

I don't know how to do this on droid phones! Does anyone else out there know how? Or know of an app?

One of the AWESOME things I've found in Droid X is that there are smart sensor settings. Supposedly, I should be able to double tap the screen when a notification goes off and it'll stop the notification from continuing to play. Well... I can't get it to work. I've tried it using the stock SMS program and I've tried using SMS Handcent.

    Anyone have any ideas/suggestions/comments?
