Hi all! Is it possible to set different notification sounds for emails and text messages? When a notification goes off it'd be nice to discern whether it's an email or a text. Also, is it possible to set different notification sounds for different people? Thanks so much for your help!

Apps>settings>sound>notification sound>your choice ...will set your email notification sound choice. To set your message notification sound: open your message app>menu>settings>notification sound>your choice. I hope this helps.

Is it possible to set DIFFERENT sounds for different email accounts? I would like to tell the difference between an email to my work exchange account and my personal mail.

Also, can you set different sounds for different people in text and/or email?

If you are using the HTC Mail program, then it's just one sound for all accounts. If you use K-9 Mail, you can set individual sounds for each account. Same thing for the Gmail app.

I don't think you can set individual sounds for each sender, though.

Is there a way to set it where if you have shortcut on screen & when you get a email it would post a #1 next to it or on it?I,ve seen this before,how is this done?

You can have a counter with Launcher Pro on the dock bar.
