I am new to all this. I have been reading a lot online. I haven't gotten up the courage to root my droid but I did update via the "official/ unofficial" FRG22-DEODEXED Release. I also applied the update to both my wife's and my son's droids. I added usb tethering and much to my surprise, I did it correctly.
I am interested in learning about overclocking and wi-fi tethering, even though I haven't made the commitment to rooting my droid yet. I am scared to death that I might brick it.
Lots of great info here and I am glad I registered.
